Design Journal Series: Learning by failing the obvious!

As part of my design thinking class at the Harvard Graduate School of Education this Spring, I’m exploring how ed-tech experiences are designed and tested, with the help of a great bunch of classmates, instructors and ex-colleagues (who I debrief with first thing after class!)

I’m starting this series of weekly design journal- where I hope to list down my assumptions, thoughts and post testing reflections.

I must say it’s super interesting because as much as I am familiar with the principles of design thinking- and have helped several entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs understand them- it’s tremendous to be on the receiving end- not just learning by doing- but learning by failing the obvious!

It’s just been a few weeks, and I’ve built my first game, tested it with a bunch of kindergarteners, took a different look at IDEO’s design kit, skimmed through and used a ton of toolkits, dared to announce that “I WILL LEARN HOW TO CODE”, and had my first shot at Unity!
